Water Tree
Project
Water Tree by Lawrence Argent is an FRP sculpture made of four repeating custom molded elements over a matching structural steel armature. The shape is derived from a 3D computer model provided by the artist. Fabrication utilized high translucency resin and glass fiber. The illuminated elements and opaque “branches” were molded using a 345-piece FRP mold allowing four repetitive uses to complete the circular form. Each quadrant was shipped individually and assembled on-site. Internal LED lighting by Jen Lewin Studios changes colors wirelessly and is programmed to evolve continuously but slowly.
