Project
The design and fabrication exercise in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects and the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) tested a novel technique for composite fabrication using stretched fabric “molds” to create shapes. This process is accomplished by computationally predicting the shape of minimal surfaces and recreating those shapes with fabric fastened to CNC-milled perimeter frames.
